Stress - what is it and how to release it

We are told that stress is a normal physical response to the events that make you feel threatened or upset your balance in some way.
When you have a sense of danger either real or imagined your body’s defences move into an automatic process which is often described as the ‘flight or fight’ response.
Basically your body releases a flood of hormones including adrenaline and cortisol. It is these hormones which ready the body to take emergency action- the cave man fight or flight.
We know that some stress can be beneficial in our daily lives, however beyond a certain point, stress stops being helpful and may begin causing major damage to your physical and mental health, your mood productivity relationships, and even your quality of life.
The Stress sounds were developed many years ago now to assist clients to unwind and to release the pent up stresses, and emotions which may be held within the cells, muscles and organs of the body. ie in the jaw through clenched teeth, in the tension in the shoulders, and often in the low back and legs.
Although a relatively short program just over 2 minutes long these powerful sounds work by communicating with the individual cells of the body to release stresses and tensions.
These sounds are ideal for client at home use, or in a clinical practice setting.
In creating the Stress Webinar, we decided to take the process of releasing Stress a step further and to look at why the body tenses up.
