59. Responsibility
Sound Number 59
Description of sound
How often do we shoulder the burden of Responsibility for those things which are not ours?
Did we take on these thoughts and memories of responsibility or of being responsible willingly or was it given to or thrust upon us, perhaps as early as our childhood.
Release and remove the deep seated cellular memories of responsibility or of being responsible which do not belong to you with these powerful sounds.
Sound Length 7.01 Mins
How this sound came about
The Responsibility sounds were created to assist the many clients who presented with issues of “being responsible” ie I have always felt responsible for my sister, because of ??? or It is my responsibility to take care of” etc.
I discussed this sound at some length with a fellow colleague who identified well with what I was saying, having had a sister for whom she was deemed responsible during her growing years, and for whom she still many years later felt as sense of protectiveness and responsibility for, even though they were both long grown
This sound was originally Practitioner only, however much discussion Susan and I decided to rerecord it as Be responsible

Comment from Susan – I am so pleased that this particular sound was made into a public version for the membership site.
A few years ago a very gifted therapist told me that the word ‘responsibility’ was sadly misrepresented in today’s world.
It was viewed as a burden and something to be avoided rather than as the empowering state it was meant to be.
I totally agree with her viewpoint, if you take responsibility for something, it can give you instant focus and certainty and can galvanise you into taking action.
Too often, we can allow projects and problems to slide and become large woolly monsters due to our unwillingness to embrace empowering change.
If you have a project that you are not committed too, examine whether or not it is right for you.
If it is not – release it, if it is, have the courage to take responsibility for it and move forward. Courage and strength are excellent sounds to play with responsibility.
Combinations of use with other soundsDeserving, Unworthiness, freedom, Blame Shame and Guilt, Releasing Limitations, releasing Blockages, Courage, Encodement Grids, Encodement Survival.
